Guidance for Calculating Fastener Lengths in Machine Tool Design

Does your company want you to put all the fasteners into your machine designs?

The 5 minute video lesson below gives you a quick tutorial on how to decide what length of screw to use and gives you some other tips to help you speed up your machine and tooling designs.

 

 

The formulas we used in the video are:

Measured Distance +(Screw Diameter X 1.5) = Ideal Fastener Length

Measured Distance + (Screw Diameter X 2) > Fastener Length
